With light-up letters and fairy lights taking centre stage across the internet and Pinterest, it can be hard to think of wedding lighting beyond this. Light-up letters and fairy lights are beautiful additions to your wedding day, adding intrigue behind your photographs and drawing eyes up into ceiling space, but lighting can do so much more than this! Lighting can be used to completely transform a space, adding depth and atmosphere to all aspects, including the Wedding Breakfast.
Wedding Breakfast Lighting .
Lighting during the Wedding Breakfast can be overlooked: there is so much to focus on elsewhere, such as wedding favours, centrepieces and linens, but the truth is that all of these aspects can look flat if your lighting isn’t right. Below, we take you through a stunning wedding we were thrilled to be a part of at Berkley Castle, where lighting was a key factor in creating a beautiful space during the meal and speeches.
Although the foundations of our event lighting were simple, the flexibility of the five moving heads on plinths meant that we were able to provide an array of looks suitable for each aspect of the day. Our lighting combined the following elements:
Moving Heads
Having moving heads with CTO enabled us to provide warm white tungsten style colours and effects to inject warmth into the large space during the wedding breakfast and speeches.
Wireless DMX
By running the movers and static battery-powered up lights over wireless DMX, we eliminated the need for unsightly cables throughout the venue, providing a seamless and polished look.
Colours & Gobo's
A full range of colours and gobo’s meant that we could use the same products to create ambience suited to each part of the wedding: from wedding breakfast to the evening, where we also provided a wedding DJ.
As you can see, the look we have crafted using various lighting techniques adds intimacy to such a large space, and provides warmth for a wedding breakfast setting.
