Oktoberwest Event for West Berkshire Brewery .
When a 60-hectolitre state-of-the-art brewery in the heart of the countryside asked us to be part of their previously postponed Oktoberfest celebrations, we couldn’t accept fast enough! Born in 1995 in a shed in the postcard-perfect village of Yattendon, the brewery has grown considerably with the development of a restaurant and covered outdoor area synonymous with hosting spectacular summer events...

What is Oktoberfest? .
We’d be surprised if Oktoberfest is a new word for you. For those of you who haven’t heard of this sausage wielding, beer guzzling festival: this annual two week event originated in early October 1810 in Munich, and in present day, comprises beer halls with long banquet style tables where people dress up in German folk costumes and drink beer from large steins… all whilst enjoying an array of Bavarian street food.
Oktoberfest parties are a brilliant alternative to office Christmas parties or summer BBQs, with plenty of avenues for entertainment including Oompah bands, street food, beer pong and fancy dress competitions.

Bavarian Event Styling .
Up-lit trees and draped festoons provided a festival atmosphere to the orchard setting, perfect for a Bavarian street food court. Guests could grab a stein of beer and a bratwurst before moving onto long banquet style tables, listening to music from the stretch tent via relay speakers and soaking up the atmosphere.
In the tent, we created a bespoke stage set up which included a custom rustic wooden surround to bring an understated and slightly rustic look to suit the backdrop of rolling hills and woodland. Vintage lighting added warmth without too much of a disco feel early on, making a sophisticated setting for the various acts:
Oompah Band, Juliette Covers Duo and Sion Whiley.
The event was concluded by an amazing DJ playing 90s rave classics: Rave Against The Regime, for which we switched the warm vintage lighting for suitable colours, upping that disco feel and keeping the momentum on the dance floor. Steering away from the German theme here, but when people want a party, you give them a party!
